The UN is out of touch
2009-04-20 12:06:00

Wow, can you possibly be more out of touch UN? President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a speaker against racism. What's next, is Donald Trump going to head up the commission on great hair styles? I choose to be agnostic on the middle east peace issue (both sides are to blame as far as I am concerned) but this is a slap in the face to anyone with the least amount of intelligence.

The UN is an archaic entity that should not be relied upon to keep our planet at peace. It is simply an extension of national governments that has not even once lived up to it's own mandate let alone all the ones it forces on others.

Now is the time to set yourself and your business apart from the others.

With our economy in slow gear and less and less people are spending less money it has never been more important to be an aggressive marketer. It seems counter productive to spend more when less is coming in but it has been shown that the true survivors of recessionary times are those who separate themselves from their competitors. Good luck and see you on the other side!

Bailouts, Bailouts, Bailouts

One thing I do not understand is how we can consider this a free market society when our government injects money into businesses to keep them afloat. by definition (A free market is a market that is free of government intervention and regulation, besides the minimal function of maintaining the legal system and protecting property rights) we are not in a free market.

Here is a new business model for you. Run your business poorly, pay yourself and others way to much and hire enough people so that the government will not allow you to fail for fear of economic crisis. The exclusive CEO clubs have not given us the thoroughbreds of business that they have always claimed, they now produce the finest white collar criminals around. Don't get me wrong, there are problems on many levels (over paid workers with poor work ethic, little or no personal responsibility in society as a whole and just plain bad luck) but the CEOs are not worth the money paid. You scratch my back and I will scratch yours (Wink Wink).

I really believe that the more time you spend in school (after the initial 4 years) the less human you become. (think lawyers and politicians) It becomes what I want and not what is good for the whole.

Stay safe out there

Just be sure to take a little extra time and care in this big bad world of ours. Think before you act and always keep your head in the game so you will make it home at the end of the day OK. You can help others by helping yourself!

Energy drinks and alcohol lead to higher rate of injury...

Nice, $1,000,000 study to tell you what every bartender in the world knows. No more end of the night tired people. Booze, the depressant that it is normally gives you the urge to sleep, possibly eat and thats it when you get enough of it. Now, all the buzz and non of the drowsiness, cities will burn. So at 3:00am we have streets full of really, really drunk, really, really awake people.

Lock your doors.
